Want A Dinosaur Massage?

What the Hell Is A Dinosaur Massage

I call it that because you kind of look like a Stegosaurus during the treatment.  What we learned from the Facebook post is that it’s actually cupping.

Here’s the post caption

Zen Cupping ????
Many Taoists believe that cupping helps balance yin and yang, or the negative and positive, within the body. Restoring balance between these two extremes is thought to help with the body’s resistance to pathogens as well as its ability to increase blood flow, reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, promote cell repair and help form new connective tissue.

We found the amazing photo above on The Zen Lounge Facebook page which is owned by Cheryl Miller!

We love Cheryl (pictured below)!  Honestly, what’s not to love?  She’s smart, she’s savvy, she’s talented, she’s gifted and she’s a triple threat!  Esthetician, Massage Therapist and Group Fitness Instructor!  She’s been working in the wellness industry for decades and knows the body – and how to take care of it!

I’m a huge fan of cupping!  It’s got may therapeutic benefits!  When I had serious shoulder issues I had cupping done to help increase blood flow, oxygen delivery and lymph delivery to the injured areas!  It’s amazing for healing and recovery from workouts!

This ancient healing art is just one of the many modalities that Cheryl uses.  She teaches classes for estheticians and for massage therapists.  If you’re close to any of her upcoming classes, be sure to register!  She’s got an entire list of treatments that she teaches through her Zen Lounge. You can learn more about her continuing education for Estheticians and Massage Therapists.
