Circadia Facial + Dermaplaning!

Jenni’s First Circadia Facial!

Here’s our full review of Circadia + dermaplaning!

I’m thrilled to write a Review of Circadia + dermaplaning!  If I told you:

A: I’ve never had a true Circadia facial

and

B: I’ve never had dermaplaning

would you believe me?

I know…we’ve worked with Circadia for years now, and I’ve been an esthetician for 20 years.  What gives??

Well, as most estheticians know, when you are in the industry, it is rare that you are the one on the treatment table.  We are the ones wanting to play with peels, test out hair removal methods, and power up new devices.  I want to know exactly how it works! When I’m lying down with my eyes closed, I have no idea how everything is being applied, reacting, and truly working.  I need to see what’s going on!

So it is a special treat when I am actually the one on the receiving end of a treatment…let alone a Circadia treatment and dermaplaning.  I’ve seen all the pics of the insane amount of dead skin and vellus hair that is removed with this service, but thought to myself:

My skin would never look like that after dermaplaning.  I exfoliate regularly and clearly take care of my skin.  I would never have that much to remove.

Skin Care Heaven – Review Of Circadia

I know how amazing Circadia skin care is.  Michael Pugliese is one of the most respected leaders in the industry and has developed remarkable products, some that Barry has actually EATEN (disclaimer *this is not recommended!).  But until recently, I haven’t had the pleasure of diving into the products and trying them for myself.

I’d been using the Micro-Exfoliating Honey Cleanser and Blueberry + White Tea Hydrating Mist for the past few weeks.  The cleanser has small round beads in a smooth gel base that lathers wonderfully and pairs perfectly with MYSKINBUDDY.  The Hydrating Mist is perfect for a post-cleanse balance and prep for your treatment products.

I couldn’t wait to have a full treatment using professional products from the line!

Review of Circadia Facial

The facial started out with the Amandola Milk Cleanser (to target my hyperpigmentation) paired with MYSKINBUDDY.  If you haven’t used this device with your cleanse, you are missing out!  The thermal heat therapy melts any cleanser into the skin, while the ION technology pulls dirt and debris out of your pores.

Following the deep cleanse, we used the Australian Super Berry Antioxidant Mask with steam so we could take advantage of the exfoliating properties of Lactic Acid and Mandelic Acid.  Smelled amazing…no tingle from the peel.

Next, we paired a skin oil with the dermaplaning…talk about results! Dermaplaning feels like a cool edge on your skin, but never uncomfortable or painful.  The medical blade is slid across the surface of the skin to remove dead cells and vellus hair, revealing smooth fresh skin underneath.  This also allows optimal product penetration for anything applied next.

Time for extractions!

Has there ever been a facial without extractions? NOT HERE!  We used the Saian Ultra Sonic Skin Scrubber to gently extract congestion in my t-zone…always congested.

To further target the hyperpigmentation on my skin, we applied the Circadia Lactic Acid 45%…a slight prickle but never uncomfortable.  Once this had processed, the Circadia Red Tea Mask and the Snow Algae & Spirulina Cooling Mask to calm my skin down….OMG amazing.  This felt like a dream!  The cooling sensation of the mask was the ultimate way to soothe my skin.

As I was drifting off, we finalized the treatment with the LightStim Red Light Therapy…talk about amazing.  Soothing warm light that is also assisting in calming skin…what could be better!?

Such an awesome facial! My treatment was performed at Skin RX in Southlake, TX.  Such a great excuse to treat my mom to an experience while spending time in Dallas for Thanksgiving!
