Can Intimate Brightening Save Your Spa?

Intimate brightening is an esthetic procedure that aims to lighten the skin tone in the intimate areas of the body. While it is not a new trend, it has recently gained popularity due to the influence of celebrities and social media.

There are various methods to incorporate intimate brightening into hair removal routines, and it is essential to choose a method that is safe and effective.

5 Tips To Adding Intimate Brightening To Your Menu

1. Choose a Reputable Brand

Not all brands of intimate brightening services are equal. Look for a brand with a good reputation, experience, and qualifications. It is essential to choose a brand that uses safe and effective products and follows proper sterilization and hygiene protocols during manufacturing.

2. Consider the Type of Product

There are various products available for intimate brightening, including creams, gels, and laser treatments. Each has its own set of benefits and drawbacks, so it is essential to choose a product that is right for you and your business.

3. Follow the Instructions

It is essential to follow the instructions provided by the product manufacturer when using any intimate brightening product. This will ensure that you get the best results.

C2S SERUM’S A WINNER FOR AGE MANAGEMENT

C2S Serum is an ideal antioxidant to have on your back bar and for clients to have in their daily skincare home care plan. It glides onto the skin easily and effectively fuels skin cells to stimulate regeneration, bringing renewed vitality to the skin.

It features Salicylic Acid, an Oil Soluble Vitamin C, and a Water Soluble Vitamin C.

The potent antioxidants in this product bring long-term benefits, along with a clearer, brighter complexion. This makes it a go-to age management product. It also offers clients with congested and acne-prone skin a perfect antioxidant-rich skin-balancing serum.

4. Be Patient

Intimate brightening results may not be immediate, and it may take several treatments and/or the use of a maintenance product to maintain the desired results. It is essential to be patient and follow the recommended treatment plan to achieve the best results.

5. Protect Your Skin

Always use a sunscreen with at least SPF 30 when exposing the treated areas to the sun. Sun exposure can cause skin discoloration and make it more difficult to achieve and maintain the desired results of intimate brightening. One step forward, two steps back.

How To Suggest Intimate Brightening To A Client

Step 1 Gauge The Client’s Personality

You’ll feel more comfortable bringing it up with some clients more than others. Those clients who are chatterboxes, telling you all about their latest brunch gossip, will be a breeze to bring up the topic of intimate brightening with! It is important to be self-aware, so be present with what the current conversation is like, and this client’s personality- are they more reserved or outgoing? This will vary from client to client. With this in mind, you can tailor how you approach sharing about intimate brightening.

Step 2 Let Clients Know Hyperpigmentation Is Very Common

If you are already offering hair removal services, you have probably seen various forms of hyperpigmentation. Hyperpigmentation is normal and can occur anywhere on the body. We as beauty professionals know this, however, our clients may not, so it’s important that your clients feel normal. This is step 1.

Meet Becca Hislop, the OG (original gangster) of Bryght Skincare and the boss lady of marketing. Becca was the first employee to join the team when Bryght was just an idea. She started out as a receptionist, but it didn’t take long for her to show her skills and passion for marketing. She took every opportunity to learn and grow, and now she’s the Director of Marketing and a key player in the success of the Bryght brand. Talk about starting from the bottom and working your way up! Becca’s been with Bryght since day one, and she’s helped shape it into the amazing skincare brand it is today.

Step 3 Drop Hints In Your Spa

For timid clients, we have noticed they may be more open than you think- once behind closed doors! The best method here is to create an environment where they will actually bring it up to you. Whether it be using marketing materials in the treatment room or by retailing merchandise that showcases intimate brightening.

Bryght Intimate Bryghtening offers marketing posters and Bryght merch,  to help you gently introduce the idea of intimate Bryghtening Because, trust – they will ask!

Step 4 Bring Up the Posters and Merchandise If Clients Don’t Ask

If you’ve gauged the client and then explained that HP is very common. Then you can, while you’re working with the client explain that they have HP, a very common issue. Then point out the poster and say, “HP is so common that we have a very popular treatment for it, want to know more about it?”

9 times out of 10 they’ll say yes!

How To Explain An Intimate Bryghtening Session

Easy To Explain Because The Treatment Is Easy To Perform

The treatment itself consists of 4 products used in conjunction with our Let There Be Lyght LED Wand, which has red, green, and blue light. The 4 products; Cleanse, Exfoliate, Bryghten, and Set work synergistically with the different LED colors to even out the skin tone, naturally. The entire treatment time ranges from only 15-20 minutes per area, making it very simple to upsell this treatment without needing to rearrange your books drastically. For larger, or double areas, like the underarms, bikini line, chest, or back, we recommend getting two LED Wands to decrease your treatment time from 30-40 minutes back down to 15-20 minutes, as you can use one wand in each area simultaneously. Don’t worry- the wand is very lightweight so your wrists will be thanking you!

Get To Know The Clients’ Situation To Recommend Treatment Plan

Because hyperpigmentation has so many different causes, it’s important to understand the cause of your clients’ hyperpigmentation before recommending how many treatments they may need. Is it from a one-time injury? Or ongoing injury? Sun damage? Hormonal (melasma, chemotherapy, transitioning medications, menopause, pregnancy, thyroid medications, etc)? Once you do a consultation and gather the above information, you can create a treatment plan. For one-time injuries, like scars or mosquito bites, most people will see results in only a couple of treatments or less. If it is from ongoing friction, like underarms, inner thigh, or bikini line, most people need more treatments and home care, as the hyperpigmentation is constantly recurring, so you have to do more to “fight” against it. Hormonal hyperpigmentation treatment plans depend on their current state and hormone levels. If the hormonal challenge causing the hyperpigmentation is stable/solved, the first treatment plan is a great option. If their challenge is ongoing, the latter plan is recommended. You will get a better sense of how quickly the products work on each client once you are using it on their skin.

We recommend you sell your client a treatment pack based on their needs (similar to facials). Ideally, a series pack of 3-5 treatments to begin with. Most clients achieve their natural skin tone back after 3-5 professional treatments and are able to maintain with the retail products at home, which are safe enough for everyday use. Some stubborn hyperpigmentation may take more sessions. Home care is imperative for best results! Results may vary.

Incorporating intimate brightening into your hair removal routine can be a safe and effective way to brighten the appearance of your intimate areas. By following these tips and choosing a reputable provider, you can achieve the best possible results. Remember to do your research, choose the right product, follow the instructions, and protect your clients’ skin with SPF to ensure the safest and most effective intimate brightening experience.
