Are Botanical Ingredients Safe for Sensitive Skin?

Botanical ingredients are sourced from powerful plant extracts and oils derived from flowers, herbs, nuts, seeds, roots, and berries. Botanicals are some of the most essential ingredients in skincare today and can do wonders for our skin. Formulated into our various cleansing, toning, and moisturizing products, botanical extracts support our skin’s health, texture, tone, and integrity.

Botanical ingredients have many benefits in skincare. Plant extracts are rich in antioxidants, which can protect the skin from the effects of harmful UV exposure and fight premature aging.  They can prevent inflammation through their anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve and maintain skin barrier function. They also promote hydration by maintaining the water needed for proper skin function and balancing the skin’s natural moisture. Botanicals are great for all skin types, skin conditions, and a variety of skin concerns.  They are tremendously helpful to calm and soothe sensitive or sensitized skin.
