BioRePeel originally developed in Italy, has gained global fame as an exceptional peel for addressing various skin concerns such as Acne, Rosacea, uneven texture/tone, fine lines/wrinkles, and Melasma/pigmentation. While its effectiveness has been acknowledged worldwide, it is only now beginning to receive the recognition it rightfully deserves in the United States.

BioRePeel stands out as a remarkable Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA)  peel that eliminates downtime, is non-photosensitive, and caters to all skin types. This exceptional peel effectively addresses a wide range of skin conditions while promoting the production of collagen and elastin. What sets BioRePeel apart is its remarkable versatility, allowing individuals to benefit from its use all year round, eliminating the need for a specific peel season.

BioRePeel Works From The Inside Out

The only chemical peel in America that has TCA in it that works from the inside out.

Barry interviewed David Burke from BioSkin Aesthetics about BioRePeel and asked David to explain how BioRePeel works, here’s what he said:

“BioRePeel uses a biostimulation technology (biphasic technology), which encourages the production of collagen and elastin, while also improving cellular turnover. This innovative peel formula helps to exfoliate the top layer of your skin by dissolving the bonds between old, dead, or damaged cells and promoting regeneration. This results in a micropeel effect, revealing a new layer of fresh, healthy, and luminous-looking skin.

What sets us apart from any other peel on the market is that BioRePeel works from the inside out! Traditional peels are applied to the outer skin and then work their way down into the dermis. Essentially, traveling into the skin and dehydrating the epidermis, which leads to peeling and downtime. Here the peel works from the outside in.” David Burke, BioSkin Aesthetics

How Does It Work From The Inside Out?

As we were doing more and more research into the BioRePeel, we interviewed several members of the BioSkin Aesthetics team.

The Genius Of BioRePeel Is Its Biphasic Technology

BioRePeel does not cause any injury to the epidermis, rather bypasses it and goes down to the dermis. BioRePeel is a biphasic technology that consists of two layers, a Lipophilic Phase, and a Hydrophilic Phase. Each phase consists of different actions.

The Lipophilic + Hydrophilic Phases

This is the blue layer and it works to hydrate the skin and protects all the ingredients from oxidizing. It also functions as a carrying agent to retrieve the potent ingredients from the Hydrophilic Phase (TCA, AHA, BHA), directing it into the dermis. These ingredients are the key to skin rejuvenation and to having a more youthful-looking complexion.

“BioRePeel has a Biphasic Technology that protects the stratum corneum/epidermis from dehydration and downtime. The powerful ingredients within one formula promote skin rejuvenation and cell turnover, with minimal discomfort for the client.” BioSkin Aesthetics

Isopropyl Myristate Is The Key

In Barry’s interview with Mona, he asked, “Can you expand on BioRePeel’s ability to work from the inside out?”

“The main point is that BioRePeelCl3 has a small percent of Isopropyl Myristate which assists with the delivery of the peel to the dermis. This is where the Lipophilic phase occurs.TCA, BHA, AHAs are funneled through working its way inside out.” Mona Cardozo, BioSkin Aesthetics

“BioRePeel contains TCA, AHA, BHA, PHa, Amino acids, vitamins, and Gamma. Having all of these powerful ingredients within one formula promotes skin rejuvenation and cell turnover. BioRePeel stimulates fibroblast activity, protects against free radicals, builds collagen production and elastin.” Mona Cardozo, BioSkin Aesthetics.

BioRePeel Ingredients

The main ingredients in BioRePeel are Trichloroacetic Acid (35-50%), Lactobionic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Tartaric Acid, and Citric Acid. This cocktail of peels provides incredible effectiveness so that it can work on a multitude of skin conditions.

Combine With Microneedling and More

If you’re looking to truly change skin, then look closer at this peel! BioRePeel can also be combined with other treatments such as Dermaplane, Hydrafacials, Jet Plasma, Microneedling, and the list goes on! Now you can help to attack stubborn hyperpigmentation and signs of aging.

Jenni’s First-Hand Experience Receiving BioRePeel

Our in-house esthetician performed both the BioRePeelCl₃® BLUE on my face and neck and the BioRePeelCl3® GOLD on my abdomen area to address stretch marks. After prepping the skin with the 4EVER kit to cleanse, lightly exfoliate and degrease skin, we went right into the peels.

You emulsify the peel solution immediately before extracting the appropriate amount for the treated area. The formula has a unique scent; it is not that of a typical acid peel – more of an earthy seaweed type of smell.

Application Of The Peel

The solution is applied section-by-section, evenly distributing the product using gloved hands.

“Once an area is covered, the peel is to be applied with a light application – no pressure needed. After completing each section of the face/neck, you allow the product to remain on the skin for 5-7 minutes.” Shir Burke of BioSkin Aesthetics

“I was not feeling any spicy sensations, only slightly warm sensations on my cheekbones. I felt nothing on my abdomen during the application of the peel.” Jenni Nagle

Clients with a lower pain threshold might experience more warmth.

Removing The Peel

We used damp 4x4s to remove the peel solution, even though it is self-neutralizing.  This is because it leaves a tacky, sticky film on the skin, which needs to be removed before applying the BioReHydra hydrating serum and BioReLift Firming Cream and then SPF.

I did not experience any lingering sensations or redness, I was ready to walk out the door!

“My experience was fantastic during the treatment – only slight tingling on my face – nothing on my stomach.  Looking forward to the next few days to see what happens.” Jenni

Post-Treatment Recap

For the first 2 days post-treatment, my skin felt slightly tight, but not uncomfortable.  On day 5, I experienced slight skin flaking all over, primarily on the chin and nose.  I used a soft washcloth to gently buff.

I used the BioReHydra hydrating serum in the morning and BioReLift revitalizing firming cream in the evenings for the next 5 days post-treatment to keep skin hydrated.

However, the BioSkin Aesthetics corrected my usage, stating that they recommend you use them firming cream, BioReLift and then the hydrating serum, BioReHydra right after, both morning and night.

Two weeks post-treatment, my skin feels softer and smoother than before.  It has a glow about it that several people commented on.  Looking forward to completing a series of these treatments!
