I was referred to a new virtual client and when I looked at her pictures, I saw red, inflamed skin that looked like she was rubbing it raw! You won’t believe how her skin has improved, Tammie provided some before and after images!
I inquired about her home care routine. I quickly discovered she was trying anything and everything she could get her hands on from OTC to professional products for Acne/Oily skin to make her skin look “matte” as she didn’t like the “shine” she got mid-day. The products she was using contained Salicylic Acids, Glycolic Acids, Scrubs. These ingredients were in her cleansers, her moisturizers, and even in some “prep pads”! I knew immediately what I needed.

My Assessment and Skincare Treatment Plan

You have stripped your barrier, it’s raw, red, and inflamed. I know there are some breakouts that are freaking you out so I will address those in a safe and controlled manner.”
Tammie is a Registered Nurse and at the time was still having to wear the mandatory Covid Masks (N-K9) on top of her skin being irritated, it was being cut off from fresh air 8-9 hours a day or longer!

We started in August of 2022. I explained to her that all the ingredients in each product would help to calm the redness, bring down the inflammation as well as help with any aging concerns she may have. I started her off on: Quiet Wash which has one of my favorite ingredients: Mirabilis Jalapa Extract, AKA The 4’o’clock Flower (fun fact: medicine to the Aztecs) Great for calming reactive skin, sensations of pain, itching, and stinging. Refine Polish, which has Yogurt, a probiotic, not only moisturizes but reinforces the skin’s microbiome. Soothe Essence which contains Schrophularia Nodusa, AKA: Figwort which helps to soothe itching, reduces swelling, helps clients with Eczema, Psoriasis, and rash.
All of the above products helped calm and soothe her irritated skin, and we kept her on those products for a month, yes, I also had her on sunscreen and because she wanted a tinted sunscreen, I went with one that I use and love and is an L&A Fav: Bion Skincare’s Tinted Mineral SPF35 in Light.

Rare Retinal Serum Added To Home Care
In September 2022, it was time to add in another product as her skin was doing great, no irritations! I added Rare Retinal to her routine as she sent me a message that she was concerned about aging skin and the wrinkles on her forehead. Rare Retinal has Iconic A, which is a natural form of Vitamin A, the least irritating form, with no downtime, no irritation, or peeling. This is the Hale & Hush anti-glycation serum, anti-wrinkle, and anti-redness.

In October 2022 because her skin was continuing to improve, I added the Rare C Serum for her daytime routine to continue lightening her skin tone as she lives in the Florida heat and sun. Rare C Serum contains a very stable form of Vitamin C, 3-0-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid which has a high absorption rate as well as being a tyrosinase inhibitor.
I also added Eye Mousse because it has one of my favorite ingredients, Daisy Flower Extract which is a natural lightener and brightener to the skin. This ingredient is also found in Hale & Hush’s Profesional-Only Product – Incredible Enzymes.
Then we added the L&A Favs award-winner: The Brilliant Eye and Lip Serum AKA, Unicorn Tears, this amazing little bottle has some really great ingredients and I needed Tammie’s skin to experience them!
Spin Trap, an antioxidant that helps to trap those pesky free radicals. Eclipta Prostata Extract, Melia Azadirachta Leaf Extract (Neem), Morninga Pterygosperma Seed Oil all botanical extracts that not only are conditioning, antimicrobial but contribute to the beautiful iridescent color of the serum.
PRO TIP: I told her that I love it for the lips! Just use – half a grain of rice-sized portion I suggested using it as a lipgloss throughout the day.
The Results
Tammie’s skin has improved dramatically over the past seven months and she’s extremely happy with her results. I am honored to have played a small part in her skincare journey and want to thank Kris Campbell for contributing and sending Tammie encouragement along the way to help her in the process.
