Why is a Daily Skin Care Routine For Healthy Skin?
A daily skin care routine for your skin care is your best bet for great skin.
Even if your skin is glowing and beautiful today, there is no guarantee that will be the case tomorrow. This is because your skin cells are shedding on a daily basis. The skin that is revealed in the future can be dull and full of imperfections unless you are utilizing a proper daily skin care routine. One of the things we believe that really sets Dermaki Skincare apart from other skincare lines is when it comes to improving the health of the skin, we don’t just treat the symptoms, we look at the root causes.
We are able to have long-term results with our “Less is Best Approach.”
When do you really need a daily skin care routine?
A go-to thought for your daily skin care routine.
- Morning skin care should focus on prevention and protection for the day.
- Nighttime routine should focus on cleansing and repair.

Healthy Daily Skin Care Routines
A healthy daily skin care routine works to nourish, protect and fortify the skin. It never strips or depletes the skin. Stripping diminishes the skin’s acid mantle. The reason this is a problem is that the acid mantle provides a barrier against bacteria – a major cause of acne!
The more the acid mantle is diminished, the more the skin is prone to infection and oil imbalance – another major cause of acne! So, as you can see, stripping alone can bring about two major causes of acne! You will also be encouraging the skin to become oiler! The reason is that the skin reacts to stripping by producing more oil (sebum) in an attempt to rebuild the barrier.
What Makes A Healthy Routine?
It’s all about the ingredients, baby! Picking a gentle, mild cleanser that is right for the skin can seem like a challenge, but it doesn’t have to be! This is why Dermaki’s cleansers are lotion based. They are not full of foaming ingredients that are irritating.
List of Ingredients to Avoid
Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate, Parabens (Propyl-, Isopropyl-, Butyl-, Isobutyl),
Propylene Glycol, Toluene (Aka Benzene, Toluol, Phenylethane, Methylbenzene), Petroleum (Aka Petrolatum, Mineral Oil, Liquid Paraffin), Heavy Metals (Aluminum, Lead, Mercury, Chromium, Arsenic, Nickel), Ammonia, Fragrances, and Benzoyl Peroxide.
It is so important to avoid these ingredients during the maintenance phase or the skin could go right back to having breakouts.
4 Tips For A Daily Skin Care Routine
We need to make sure we are properly cleansing to remove dirt, pollutants, and make-up. We need to wash twice a day with a gentle cleanser. Apply a small amount of Hydrating or Acne Cleanser and massage into the skin like you would a lotion. Apply some water and massage for 10-30 seconds. This will allow the cleanser to penetrate and remove all the dirt etc.
Make sure to thoroughly rinse until all the slip is gone. If you have acneic skin we suggest using the Acne Bar at the same time or alternating morning and night with the cleanser. These two products have different ingredients that are meant to be used together to help maintain healthy skin.
Moisturize your skin! Keep it hydrated for a healthy look and to keep those fine lines away. Nourish, Daily Facial Moisturizer, or Intense Hydration are all great choices for hydration.
Use at least two of the active Serums or Oils and alternate daily and or one in the morning and the other at night. i.e. Renewal in the morning and Vitamin C Complex at night. Eye Complex will complement any of these and is a must try.
Use a good sunscreen. Harmful UV rays can age the skin prematurely. Avoid sunscreens with chemicals and synthetics. Our Protect powder has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide with other anti-aging and inflammation ingredients that blend with all skin types.
