The Evolution of Lira Clinical SMART PEELS™
In 2010 Lira Clinical created a peel with heal approach to skin correction limiting inflammation and returning healthy skin function to all skin needs with their SMART PEELS™ And now, fifteen years later, Lira Clinical continues their quest of commitment to delivering the latest technology, acids, and peels for brighter, healthier, and younger-looking skin with the launch of three new Lira Clinical SMART PEELS™ with EXO-tech™.
L+A asked Lira Clinical what prompted them to add these new peels to their amazing collection of SMART PEELS™?
Here’s what they told us, “Lira Clinical understands the evolving esthetics industry and what the skin needs. Lira Clinical continues their quest of commitment to delivering the latest technology, acids, and peels for brighter, healthier, and younger-looking skin.”
Lira Clinical Explains EXO-tech™
L+A first learned of EXO-tech™ from Lira Clinical in August of 2024. We shared a story of the launch of Lira Clinical’s PRO Refining Eye Crème. The team at Lira Clinical explained EXO-tech™.
“EXO-tech™ is a bio-authentic delivery system providing a natural pathway into skin for this results-driven formulation initiating youthful collagen and elastin formation. The unique combination of exosome and hydroxysome technology protects the delicate eye area while refining fine lines without any irritation. Rich in Omega fatty acids and natural lipids skin is restored to its optimal hydration levels. Powerful brightening agents also offer antioxidant benefits while managing melanin production reducing puffiness and dark circles.” Lira Clinical
EXO-tech™ and SMART PEELS™
We asked Lira Clinical, how EXO-tech™ works in SMART PEELS™.
Here’s their explanation, “EXO-tech™ is an exclusive category created by Lira Clinical of four unique delivery systems. Lira Clinical’s® NEW EXO-tech™ transports active agents into the skin, increasing efficacy, limiting inflammation, and providing purely transformative results without disrupting the pH. Liposolvation is one of the EXO-tech™ delivery systems used in Exo Mandelic and Exo Retinoid. It is an advanced delivery system that safely escorts actives into the skin without disrupting the barrier function and is NOT pH dependent.” Lira Clinical
Q+A With Lira Clinical On Their 3 New SMART PEELS™
After Lira Clinical shared that they were excited to announce the expansion of their SMART PEELS™ collection, L+A had a few questions for the brand.
Lira Clinical shared that, “With the release of three new, innovative peels, designed to target multiple skin conditions with less inflammation, volumize skin, and maintain healthy barrier activity — revolutionary EXO-tech™ powerhouses, Exo Retinoid and Exo Mandelic and carboxylic acid favorite, Shikimic Plus.”
We asked them to explain each peel and asked a few follow-up questions!
Exo Retinoid
Exo Retinoid is a unique approach to chemical peeling. Enhanced with EXO-tech™, the latest in delivery technology with barrier protection. This revolutionary peel carries retinol and peptides through the skin’s barrier without disrupting the skin’s defenses. Achieve clinical results, brightening and tightening while volumizing and hydrating skin back to its youthful state.
Q+A with Lira Clinical
We asked, “When and why would a medical/spa skincare professional choose Exo Retinoid over another Retinol Peel, such as your Mineral Retinol Peel?”
“Because of how it works. Exo Retinoid works from the inside out as it delivers lipids to balance skin. Mineral Retinol works from the outside in and also seals to advance peel efficacy.” Lira Clinical
Exo Mandelic
Exo Mandelic redefines clinical brightening with the latest in delivery technology, EXO-tech™. An innovative approach, EXO-tech™ delivers active ingredients into the skin without compromising the skin’s defenses and essential barrier activity. This brightening peel delivers mandelic acid to clinical depths to clarify, volumize, and hydrate back to its optimal skin health.
Q+A with Lira Clinical
We asked, “Mandelic peels are a staple in the professional medical and spa skincare industry. We asked Lira Clinical to explain when and why a medical/spa skincare professional would choose Exo Mandelic over another Mandelic Acid Peel?”
“Because of EXO-tech™. This innovative delivery system introduces new technology into clinical skincare to deliver actives into the skin without compromising the skin’s defenses and essential barrier activity. This brightening peel delivers mandelic acid to clinical depths to clarify, volumize, and hydrate back to its optimal skin health.” Lira Clinical
Shikimic Plus
Shikimic Plus expands the carboxylic acid family, meet shikimic acid! Achieve increased clinical results with minimal irritation with the unique combination of alpha hydroxy acids, retinol-mimicking peptides, and shikimic acid. Address all forms of acne, age management, and hyperpigmentation in one comprehensive treatment.
Q+A with Lira Clinical
We asked, “With the addition of the Shikimic Plus, you say your expanding the Carboxylic Acid family of peels. We see the Pure Peel has Acetic Acid, another Carboxylic Acid. Can you tell medical/spa skincare professionals how the Shikimic Plus differs from the Pure Peel and when they would choose one over the other?’
“Pure Peel (Acetic Acid) and Shikimic Plus (Shikimic Acid) can be used for all skin conditions. Pure Peel is a self-neutralizing solution that can be layered. Shikimic Plus is a time-dependent peel and works for all forms and grades of acne, including fungal acne. Shikimic acid is also less inflammatory compared to acetic acid which benefits acne-prone skin.” Lira Clinical
