Dr. Kristen Flaharty, a board-certified Clinical Pharmacologist, received her doctoral degree in Pharmacy from the University of Michigan. She has held academic positions at the University of Utah and Nova Southeastern College of Pharmacy. Dr. Flaharty has published in numerous scientific journals, presented
at a multitude of professional meetings, and holds a patent on combination therapy for inhibition of platelet aggregation.
Following academic positions, Dr. Flaharty worked in the Pharmaceutical Industry and has been a major contributor to the development and approval of more than 20 new prescription drugs in the US and worldwide.
In concert with her husband, Dr. Patrick Flaharty, she was the driving force behind the development of a line of private label skin care products to be used in his medical spa and cosmetic surgery practice. In late 2014, she purchased the assets of a small skin care company in order to have more control of the product line, and to fill what she perceived as a niche in the skin care industry. The goals of the new company, Trilogy Laboratories, are to manufacture small batch high quality products with appropriate concentrations of active ingredients. Trilogy produces the ID Skin product line for professional estheticians and creates private label lines for physicians, estheticians, salons, spas, e-commerce and celebrities. Trilogy Laboratories has been the recipient of multiple awards including Small Manufacturer of the Year (2016), Sterling Award for Manufacturing Excellence (2018), Florida Companies to Watch (2021).
Dr. Flaharty is married and has three daughters. Her free time is spent with family activities, including de-stressing with the family’s two golden retrievers.
