If you’re curious about Sugaring, you’re not alone! We did some investigating to help us find out how many online searches there are for Sugaring and we found that SEMrush indicates that the term “sugaring hair removal” receives approximately 10,000 to 50,000 searches per month.
We did some of our own searches online and found a few interesting points, “Sugaring is a natural hair removal method that originated in the Middle East and has been used for centuries. It involves using a paste made from simple, natural ingredients—sugar, lemon juice, and water—to remove hair from the root. It’s said to be gentler on the skin, provide longer-lasting results, and offers easier cleanup than waxing. Sugaring is a great alternative to waxing for those looking for a natural, less irritating hair removal option!”

We chatted extensively with Jamie about her inspiration to launch this business. We asked her to share her story.
“Sugaring Source is a niche directory, the crème de la crème of all things sugaring hair removal. I created Sugaring Source in response to years of observation in the industry. I wanted to create a hub of resources inclusive of proficient sugarists, educators and quality lines of sugaring paste, backbar and retail. Sugaring Source is like my “sugaring rolodex” or my “little black book” of sugaring pros. All those that are listed are sugarists I would see myself and send my friends, family, or clients to.
Because sugaring is an emerging segment of the hair removal market, there are a lot of questions about products and education. There’s also a huge need to help connect highly trained sugarist to consumers.” Jamie Renee Asare
Jamie’s Inspiration To Build The Little Black Book of Sugaring
“Late 2010, I began to receive website inquiries and calls from people living far away from me interested in sugaring. I was astounded at how many consumers wanted to know if I knew any professional sugarists they could see in their area. Oftentimes I see clients who are visiting the Dallas Fort Worth area where I’m based. These clients always ask me for referrals to a sugarist in their hometowns. I am pretty active on social media, which provides me with a pretty large network of other sugarists, so I always try to make a connection whenever possible.
Still to this day, I see posts on social media from people looking for a sugarist…. questions such as “Who is sugaring in Denver?” “Who is sugaring in Boston?” Who provides men’s Brazilians in xyz?”.
I enjoy establishing a connection with sugaring professionals around the globe. All professionals are personally vetted to ensure they have been certified and use a professionally manufactured product (as opposed to making their own private product at home).” Jamie Renee Asare
