Margie Carr is a California State Licensed Esthetician and Master Makeup Artist

Licensed in April 1995. Margie owns Reflections Skin Oasis, a two-room treatment facility where she focuses on advanced skin care and makeup. Margie found Nelly De Vuyst at the Las Vegas International Skin Care Convention in 1999.

“I had the chance to chat with Margie about her career and I was blown away by the story she told me about opening her spa. Margie was five months pregnant when she opened Reflections Skin Oasis, which I thought was a brave feat until she told me that she went into labor during a facial AND finished the facial before she headed off to have her daughter. Margie only took a few weeks off from work and then back to work. Her daughter tells Margie that she is proud to have a Mom who is a strong, self-reliant business owner! We asked Margie to tell us how she approaches skin care in her spa, here’s what she told us. 

“I would say that I am a Clinical Esthetician and I offer beauty-based treatments such as Brow wax and Design, Brow Lamination & Tinting, Lash Lifting and Tinting, and Makeup services.

My interaction with my clients begins with inviting their participation in achieving their skincare goals. Then, I ask questions about their lifestyle and their current skincare regimen. I use the Visia Complexion Analysis system, which allows the client to see what is underneath their skin; normally they would not be able to see this with the naked eye. The Visia can show potential skincare concerns that can be addressed.  A picture is worth a thousand words.
