Katrina told L+A, “All of my treatments come with some form of enzyme peel or chemical peel, and M.A.D Skincare’s Four Fruit Enzyme Exfoliating Mask with Pumice is a part of that. I also add dermaplane to my skin care treatments if the client needs so I have the option to use a M.A.D Skincare chemical peel if appropriate for the client. M.A.D Skincare finishing masks are also a go-to. If a client came in for just a dermaplane, a M.A.D Skincare finishing mask is a perfect addition to end the treatment.

The climate where my business is located doesn’t allow for a long season for deep chemical peels, so M.A.D Skincare is the perfect line because I can give great exfoliation and results without compromising the barrier. I always ensure my clients commit to being compliant with the home care that I recommend. I make sure my clients understand that without their compliance to home care, I won’t be able to take their treatments to the level I can. I’d be constantly fixing damage or cleaning up an unhealthy skin barrier, and large clogged pores.”

Katrina Yokoyama has been a licensed esthetician since 2005, having practiced throughout the Fresno area she has obtained experience and knowledge that benefits both herself and her clients. Katrina had extended her education in courses throughout California, New York, Chicago, and Hawaii.
In 2013 Katrina opened Trin Spa Skin and Wellness, as a solo boutique specializing in luxury skin spa treatment(s). Katrina has created a space that incorporates her energy and spiritual practice(s) with her esthetic services. She has certifications in sound therapy, past life regression, chakra clearing, essential oils, and is knowledgeable in crystals and their subsequent energy. Katrina is intuitive in her craft of esthetics and spirituality and feels her passion for both has contributed to her success. Katrina is also certified in Gua-Sha Facial and Lomi Lomi Facelift, incorporating the teachings of Eastern touch acupressure, jade facial scraping techniques, and Native Hawaiian Island(s) energy in these specialty facial services. It was shortly after bringing these specialty services into her practice in 2010, that her clients began relating to her/their feelings of something more than just a relaxing service, it was a feeling of peaceful, calm, and balance after their service.
