In 2007, Joseph Anthony Retreat Spa and Salon opened its doors and in just five years, this family-owned business is now recognized as the premiere day spa in the region! However, we did not do it alone – we have our tremendous staff and loyal clientele to thank for our success.

Training + Support For The Win Says Esty Kim Jones
Kim is no stranger to being a Featured Esthetician, she was recently featured in Philadelphia Style Magazine as Joseph Anthony’s Lead Esthetician, a position that she’s held for the past 5 years. Kim has been the hands-on educator for all 3 locations and holds training classes to keep staff members up to date on all protocols and product knowledge information! She was the first graduate in the country for the Hydrafacial Connect Certification, a three-tier training program with some of the best Estheticians all around the U.S. Kim also has a Dermaplane Pro certification and an Oxygen Facial certification from Intraceuticals.
Kim loves being able to customize any Hydrafacial treatment. Whether it be for acne-prone skin, rosacea, anti-aging, or brightening/skin tightening. Joseph Anthony partners with Glacial Rx which is a Cooling Cryo therapy facial and Glo2 Facial which is a 3-step super facial to exfoliate, hydrate and tighten the skin. Kim is also helping with the development of Joseph Anthony’s new private-label skin care line called Joey Skincare.
Kim loves that Joseph Anthony offers a variety of body treatments as well, from full body massage to Softpack Floats and body scrubs. We also have a med spa at our Glen Mills location. The product lines we carry are ZO Skin Health, PCA Skin Care, Alastin, and Skin Better.

“Full service doesn’t even begin to describe it! You can come to Joseph Anthony for a quick brow wax, full cut, and color, injections, or spend an entire day in their spa. Their extensive service menu demonstrates the need for multiple services to meet the demand that clients are craving.
The waxing room was located just off one of the salon color areas. This space is dedicated to waxing, and the facial services take place on the second floor in the spa, or downstairs in the medical spa.
Kim had several options from NaturaverdePro – from their cartridge wax to the soft wax that she prefers most. The team at NaturaverdePro is very skilled in hard wax, but Kim has the most experience with soft wax and feels she can get the best results for her clients using the Deluxe Pink Cream Wax. The entire full leg wax took less than 28 minutes, was painless, and left no bumps or irritation. Kim used Cleanse to prep the skin, Nourish to remove any excess wax residue (which was minimal), and Soothe as a post-wax soothing cream.
